Professor Timothy Pawlik: what have we achieved in hilar cholangiocarcinoma over the past decade?

Timothy M. Pawlik, Deputy-Editor-in-Chief of HBSN, is currently the Program Director of Hepatobiliary Surgery, and Director of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Liver Tumor Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Pawlik serves as the Co-Director of the Center for Surgical Trials and Outcomes Research within the Department of Surgery. The Center helps facilitate surgical investigators in the design and implementation of clinical trials. Dr. Pawlik also serves as Associate Program Director of the Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Network with a focus in facilitating surgical clinical trials for the JHCRN. HBSN had the chance to interview Prof. Pawlik in the 4th Biennial Congress of the Asian-Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (A-PHPBA) from on March 2013 in Shanghai International Convention Center, to share with us about his opinions about hilar cholangiocarcinoma over the past decade.
