OTC Hangzhou Resolution

On November 1^st, 2013, the Human Organ Transplant Clinical Technology Applications Committee (OTC) of National Health and Family Planning (NHFPC) held the 12^th OTC meeting in Hangzhou, Zhejiang China. The committee members and NHFPC officials conducted thorough discussions on the current status and challenges that faced by organ donation and transplantation in China. The meeting reached consensus on OTC Hangzhou Resolution on human organ transplantation.

On November 2^nd, 2013, Professor Jiefu Huang, the director of OTC, announced the resolution while he was delivering the keynote speech “New Era for Organ Transplantation in China” on 2013 China National Transplantation Congress, which was organized by China Organ Transplant Association.

All the organ transplantation professionals shall realized the development of a mature and ethical organ donation and transplantation system will be a long and arduous journey and will face numerous difficulties and challenges. However, the need of the Chinese people for high-quality and organ transplant services is our obligatory mission. We are determined to work hard and innovatively for the development of a healthy and sustainable Chinese transplant system in the process of achieving our “China Dream”—the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
